Serhiy (the name of the client has been changed) — a 36-year-old resident of the city of Chuguyiv, Kharkiv region, faced difficult life circumstances. Fleeing the war, along with his wife and two young children, led to new trials. At the time of arrival in Poltava, the family had almost nothing, so there was an acute need for basic things.
The situation was complicated by drug addiction, which Serhiy diligently hid from loved ones. Realizing the threat not only to his own health, but also to the general well-being of his family, Sergey decided to seek help. Thanks to the support of the social worker of the NGO “Light of Hope” Maria Semyhynivska, the man received primary psycho-emotional support, as well as material assistance: baby diapers and toys, grocery set, personal care products.
Thanks to the dialogue, Serhiy agreed to the program of replacement supportive therapy, and step by step he feels better, — Semyhynivska Maria, social workeress of NGO “Light of Hope”.
Now, having established relations with his wife and children, Serhiy is actively working to find a permanent job and stabilize the financial situation of the family and dreams of returning home as soon as possible!
