Charity organization “Light of Hope” in partnership with the Foundation “Hub of Social Equation” within the framework of the “HELP SPACE” project within the framework of the grant agreement with ELTON JOHN AIDS FOUNDATION from 09.02.2024 announces a competition for NGOs and communities of Ukraine to receive a grant for institutional development. The aim of the competition is to improve the working conditions for NGOs and communities of Ukraine and strengthen their institutional capacity. Grants are aimed at increasing the self-contagion of the civil sector in Ukraine, in particular in the field of HIV/AIDS prevention
Target audience:NGOs and Ukrainian communities working in the field of HIV/AIDS.
Selection criteria:
- Legal status of a non-governmental non-profit organization;
- At least 1 year of experience in the field of HIV/AIDS;
- A clear vision of the needs for institutional development;
- Readiness for the implementation of the proposed development plan for a period of 3 to 6 months from the signing of the grant agreement
One of the important conditions of the competition is the mandatory registration of the organization on the platform. Applications from organizations that are not registered on the platform at the time of submission of the tender offer are not allowed to be considered by the Competition Commission.
Activities that may be included in the grant application and are not limited to the following list:
- Conducting a facilitated strategic planning session;
- Conducting training, trainings for the staff of the organization;
- Conducting an independent audit of the organization;
- Development of the brand book of the organization;
- Website development for the organization.

- Appendix 1 - Descriptive application;
- Appendix 2 - Project budget;
- Extract from the EDR;
- Extract;
- Charter of the organization;
- Extract from the register of non-profit organizations.

Selection process: The selection will take place in two stages: verification of compliance with formal criteria and evaluation by an expert commission. The results will be announced no later than 17.06.2024.
Financing: The maximum size of the grant is 6000 dollars in hryvnia equivalent.
