We have an exciting offer for women and girls who have been forced to leave home because of the war — with us you can start your own business or resume the business you used to run. We start recruiting for the project NIZHNA (Unbreakable Women's Initiative — Persistent and Active).
Who do we do it for?
The project is for women and girls who are internally displaced persons living in Poltava, Kremenchuk, Mirgorod, Lubansk communities of Poltava region and Valkivska hromada in Kharkiv region.
What are we doing it for?
To increase the economic capacity of women, develop entrepreneurial skills and psycho-emotional support. Project NIZHNA provides irrevocable financial assistance for the implementation of participants' business ideas.
What do we offer?
- two-day training with psychologists and psychologists to improve psycho-emotional state;
- online webinar on building effective interaction with local authorities, advocacy of the interests of IDPs;
- two-day training on starting your own business, writing a business plan and developing business skills;
- competition of business ideas with the opportunity to receive financial support and mentoring of the winners for the successful development of their own business.

Applications will be accepted until February 7, 2025 inclusive. After that, all those who have completed the form will receive notification of the results of the selection within a week.
Participation in the training will take place during February-April in the centers of each of the communities.
The initiative is being implemented by the NGO “Light of Hope” with technical support from UN Women in Ukraine and with the funding of the UN Women's Fund for Peace and Humanitarian Aid (WPHF), a flexible and operational funding tool that supports quality measures to increase the capacity of local women in conflict prevention, crisis response and emergency response emergency situations and the use of key peace-building opportunities.
